Wake Technical Community College is a two-year public university that caters to the citizens of Wake County and many of the surrounding residential communities.  The colleges motto is " College for the Real World" and it enrolls more than 60,000 students every year.  Wake Technical  offers two-year associate degrees in science, the arts, and general education.  It also offers many continuing education programs such as public safety training, high school equivalency test,  and non-credit courses for personal and professional enrichment.  It is the second largest community college in North Carolina.
