Everyday more and more people are calling the area around Duke University, home, and enjoying the amenities that a world-class campus can offer.

Duke University was created by James Buchanan Duke in 1924 in honor to his father. Today it is home to more than 10 schools and colleges including the Pratt School of Engineering and the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. Undergraduate, Graduate and Professional degrees are conferred.

The campus is also home to Duke University Hospital, the Durham Regional Hospital, a golf course and of course Duke Chapel , which is the symbol of the University.  the chapel was built in 1932.  The Duke libraries contain more than 5 million volumes and ranks in the top 10  private research libraries in the country.
